We are excited to announce the dates for the 2019 Tibor Varga International Violin Competition!

The 2019 edition of this long-running competition will take place from 18 – 24 August 2019 in Sion, Switzerland and is open to violinists born after 1 September 1993 (under 26 years of age).

The international Jury will be chaired by musicologist and pianist, Georges Starobinski, and consist of several world-renowned violinists, including Pavel Vernikov (Israel/Switzerland), Qian Zhou (Singapore) and Krysztof Wegrzyn (Germany), among others to be announced over the coming weeks.

Registration for the competition opens on 1 October 2018 and will close at midnight on 15 April 2019.

With more than CHF 35,000 worth of prizes to give away, this competition is a must for young violinists wishing to launch their career!
